Step-by-step guide to upgrading your Zenovay subscription, including how billing works and what to expect.

Ready to unlock more features? Upgrading your Zenovay plan is quick and your new features are available immediately.

How to Upgrade

Open Billing Settings

Click your profile icon and select SettingsBilling, or go directly to your billing page.

View Available Plans

Click Upgrade Plan to see all available subscription tiers.

Choose Your Plan

Select the plan that fits your needs:

  • Pro: Best for growing sites and small teams
  • Scale: Best for high-traffic sites and AI insights
  • Enterprise: Best for large organizations

Select Billing Cycle

Choose your preferred billing:

  • Monthly: Pay each month, cancel anytime
  • Annual: Save 17% with yearly billing

Enter Payment Details

Add your payment method:

  • Credit/debit card
  • Payment is processed securely via Stripe

Confirm Upgrade

Review your order and click Confirm Upgrade. Your new features are available immediately.

What Happens When You Upgrade

Immediate Changes

When your upgrade completes:

  • Features unlock instantly: Session replay, heatmaps, etc. become available
  • Limits increase: Higher event limits, more websites, more team members
  • Data retention extends: Historical data preserved longer (going forward)

Billing Adjustments

  • Pro-rated charge: You're charged for the remainder of your billing cycle
  • New cycle starts: Future charges are at the new plan rate
  • Credits applied: Any existing credit applies to your upgrade

If upgrading mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remaining days.

Switching Billing Cycles

To switch from monthly to annual (or vice versa):

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Change Billing Cycle
  3. Select your new preference
  4. Confirm the change

Switching to annual billing saves significant money over time. Pro annual saves $60/year compared to monthly.

Adding a Payment Method

  1. Go to SettingsBillingPayment Methods
  2. Click Add Payment Method
  3. Enter your card details
  4. Click Save

Updating Your Card

If your card expires or you get a new one:

  1. Add the new card as a payment method
  2. Set it as default
  3. Remove the old card (optional)

Free Trial Availability

New accounts may be eligible for a free trial of Pro features:

  • 14-day trial of Pro plan
  • No credit card required
  • Full access to Pro features
  • Automatic downgrade to Free after trial

Payment Failed

If your payment doesn't go through:

  1. Verify card details are correct
  2. Check card hasn't expired
  3. Ensure sufficient funds/credit

After upgrading, if features aren't visible:

  1. Refresh your browser (Ctrl/Cmd + R)
  2. Clear browser cache
  3. Log out and log back in
  4. Wait a few minutes for propagation
  5. Contact support if issues persist

Downgrading

If you need to downgrade later:

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select a lower tier
  4. Confirm downgrade

Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Some features and data may be affected.
