  • Save important segments
  • Include date range context

Watch for Low Data

Too many filters may result in:

  • Very small sample sizes
  • Statistical insignificance
  • Misleading conclusions

Sample Size

Be cautious with conclusions from filtered data with fewer than 100 sessions.

Common Filtering Scenarios

Filter for specific campaign:

  • Traffic Source = Paid
  • UTM Campaign = "summer_sale"
  • Date = Campaign dates

Analyze mobile experience:

  • Device = Mobile
  • Compare to Desktop
  • Check bounce rate, duration

Geographic Analysis

Understand regional performance:

  • Country = Target market

  • Analyze local preferences

Troubleshooting

Filters Showing No Data

  • Check date range has data
  • Verify filter values exist
  • Try broader filters first
