Managing Your Profile

Update your profile information, display name, avatar, and account preferences in Zenovay.

Your profile contains your personal information and preferences. This guide shows you how to update and manage your profile settings.

Accessing Your Profile

Open Settings

Click your avatar or name in the top right corner of the dashboard.

Select Profile

Click Profile or Settings from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Account

Go to the Account tab to manage your profile.

Profile Information

Display Name

Your display name appears:

  • In team member lists
  • In activity logs
  • In shared dashboards
  • In email communications

To change your display name:

  1. Go to SettingsAccount
  2. Find the Display Name field
  3. Enter your preferred name
  4. Click Save Changes

Email Address

Your email is used for:

  • Login (if not using social auth)
  • Password resets
  • Security notifications
  • Team invitations

To change your email:

  1. Go to SettingsAccount
  2. Click Change next to your email
  3. Enter the new email address
  4. Enter your password to confirm
  5. Verify the new email via link sent

Your old email remains active until you verify the new one.

Profile Avatar

Your avatar appears throughout Zenovay:

Using Gravatar

  1. Create an account at gravatar.com
  2. Upload your image
  3. Associate it with your Zenovay email
  4. Avatar updates automatically

Upload Custom Avatar

  1. Go to SettingsAccount
  2. Click on your current avatar
  3. Select Upload Image
  4. Choose an image file (max 2MB)
  5. Crop and save

Account Preferences

Timezone

Your timezone affects:

  • Dashboard time displays
  • Report date ranges
  • Scheduled emails
  • Activity timestamps

To change your timezone:

  1. Go to SettingsAccount
  2. Find Timezone
  3. Select from the dropdown
  4. Save changes

Language

Zenovay currently supports:

  • English

Additional languages coming soon. Contact us if you'd like to help translate.

Email Preferences

Control which emails you receive:

To manage email preferences:

  1. Go to SettingsNotifications
  2. Toggle each email type
  3. Save changes

Dashboard Preferences

Default View

Set which tab opens when you access the dashboard:

  • Analytics (default)
  • Live
  • 3D Globe
  • Last viewed

Date Range Default

Set your preferred default date range:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • Last 7 days (default)
  • Last 30 days
  • This month

Theme

Choose your dashboard appearance:

  • Light mode
  • Dark mode
  • System default (follows OS setting)

Privacy Settings

Profile Visibility

Control who can see your profile in team contexts:

  • Team only: Only your team members
  • Public profile page: Allow a public profile URL

Activity Tracking

We collect minimal data about your dashboard usage to improve the product:

  • Toggle anonymous usage analytics
  • View our privacy policy

Connected Accounts

If you use social login:

Google Account

  • View connected Google account
  • Disconnect (if password is set)
  • Switch to a different Google account

GitHub Account

  • View connected GitHub username
  • Disconnect (if password is set)
  • Connect additional GitHub account

Managing Connections

To manage connected accounts:

  1. Go to SettingsAccount
  2. Find Connected Accounts
  3. Click Connect or Disconnect

Before disconnecting a social account, ensure you have another way to log in (password or another connected account).

Developer Settings

API Keys

For developers using the Zenovay API:

  1. Go to SettingsAPI
  2. View existing keys
  3. Generate new keys
  4. Revoke unused keys

Exporting Your Data

Pro Plan

Export your profile and account data:

  1. Go to SettingsAccount
  2. Click Export My Data
  3. Choose format (JSON or CSV)
  4. Download the export

Includes:

  • Profile information
  • Preferences
  • Activity history
  • Owned websites list

Account Status

View your account status:

  • Account type: Personal or Organization
  • Plan: Current subscription tier
  • Status: Active, suspended, etc.
  • Created: When you joined
  • Last login: Your most recent sign-in

Troubleshooting

Changes Not Saving

  1. Check for validation errors
  2. Ensure all required fields are filled
  3. Try a different browser
  4. Clear cache and refresh

Avatar Not Updating

  1. Clear browser cache
  2. Wait a few minutes (caching)
  3. Try a different image
  4. Check image size (max 2MB)

Email Change Failed

  1. Ensure new email isn't already in use
  2. Check password is correct
  3. Verify you can receive emails at new address
  4. Contact support if persistent
